PHILOSOPHY

The mohel is uniquely tasked with nurturing the soul, not only of the newborn being brought into the covenant,  but also that of his family.  The mohel's purpose is to inspire all with  a ceremony that is safe and painless for the baby, meaningful and spiritual for the family, and joyous and uplifting for the community.  With this philosophy, Dr. Waldman works with the parents to create a meaningful ceremony.  She combines her skill as a surgeon and a mohelet to honor the sacred traditions of the brit milah ceremony while adding a modern approach.
